At Fairleigh Dickinson University, player development goes far beyond results on the scoreboard. Since 2000, FDU has helped launch 35+ players into Major League Soccer and professional careers overseas, earning a reputation as one of the nation’s most consistent pathways from college soccer to the professional game.

Located just minutes from New York City, our players train and compete in one of the most heavily scouted markets in the world. This proximity provides regular exposure to MLS clubs, international scouts, and professional organizations, giving student-athletes real visibility while still developing within a collegiate environment.

Over the past 24 years, FDU has established itself as one of the most successful mid-major programs in the country and the only mid-major to achieve:

• Multiple Elite Eight runs
• A Sweet 16 appearance
• 9 NCAA Tournament berths (with 5 advancing past the first round)
• Sustained national relevance amongst the NCAA division 1

But success at FDU is not built overnight. It comes from a clear playing philosophy, daily high standards, and a developmental model designed to prepare players for the modern game. Our program emphasizes technical quality, tactical intelligence, physical development, and professionalism, both on and off the field.

Each season, our matches attract professional scouts and recruiters evaluating players for the next level. Recent years have seen multiple Knights move on to professional opportunities, while others continue their careers in top domestic and international leagues.

Just as importantly, FDU prepares players for life beyond soccer. Our student-athletes graduate with respected degrees while gaining experience in one of the strongest internship and career markets in the country.
